With this preparation, make in just 10 minutes the great American classic that has delighted young and old for over a century! The Marlette recipe is consistent with the origins with large pieces of pecan nuts, 60% cocoa chocolate and good Rapadura sugar. To be enjoyed as a bonus with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for those with a sweet tooth.
INGREDIENTS TO ADD
2 eggs
130g unsalted butter
VEGAN VERSION
130g coconut butter
100g of vegetable yogurt
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
2. In a salad bowl, pour the sachet of sugar and the eggs then whisk actively by hand or with an electric mixer for at least 3 minutes, until you obtain a creamy texture. (Vegan: vegetable yogurt)
3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. (Vegan: coconut butter). Add the large bag and mix until the chocolate is completely melted.
4. Pour the chocolate over the egg/sugar mixture, and mix gently until you obtain a smooth paste.
5. Pour the dough into a square (24 cm) or rectangular (20 x 28cm) mold, covered with parchment or buttered paper.
6. Cook for around 15-17 min (Vegan: around 25 min). Check the cooking using the tip of a knife: the dough should be cooked but may stick a little to the blade.
